- How much does mobile car detailing cost in the Blue Mountains?Prices depend on the service and vehicle size. Express Detail starts at $130 (small car), Premium Detail from $250, Pre-Sale Detail from $450, and Ultimate Paint Correction from $700. Ceramic Coating, Headlight Restoration and Custom Packages are quoted individually. A call-out fee of $20–$50 applies depending on your distance from Katoomba.
- Do you come to my home or workplace?Yes — Driven Details is 100% mobile. Joe comes to wherever your car is parked: home driveway, workplace car park, or anywhere else that works for you. You don't need to arrange drop-off or pick-up.
- How long does a detail take?It depends on the service: Express Detail 1.5–2 hours, Premium Detail 3–4 hours, Pre-Sale Detail 5–6 hours, Ultimate Paint Correction a full day (6–8 hours). Joe will give you a time estimate when you book.
- What's the difference between the Express Detail and Premium Detail?The Express Detail is a quick refresh — exterior wash, vacuum, surface wipe, windows, tyre dressing. The Premium Detail goes much deeper: stain removal, mat shampooing, wheel and boot cleaning, crevice brushing, and all surfaces properly dressed. If your car needs a real reset rather than just a tidy-up, the Premium is the one.
- What is paint correction and do I need it?Paint correction is a machine polishing process that removes swirl marks, fine scratches and surface oxidation from your car's clear coat. If your paint looks dull or hazy in sunlight, or you can see swirling marks — paint correction will dramatically improve it. Look at your car in direct sunlight; if you see circular scratches, it's worth considering.
- Is ceramic coating worth it?If you want long-term paint protection and an easier-to-clean car — yes. A ceramic coating lasts 2–5 years, repels water and contaminants, and protects against UV fading. It costs more upfront but saves on repeated waxing and keeps your paint looking better for longer. Especially worth it for new cars or after paint correction.
- How far do you travel? Do you service my suburb?Driven Details services the full Blue Mountains corridor from Lithgow in the west to Springwood in the east, including Katoomba, Leura, Blackheath, Wentworth Falls, Lawson, Hazelbrook, Woodford, Linden, Faulconbridge, Blaxland, Glenbrook, and Mount Victoria. - Do you charge a call-out fee?Yes — a call-out fee applies depending on your distance from Katoomba: $20 within 10km, $30 within 20km, $40 within 30km, $50 within 40km. Katoomba and immediate surrounds (including Leura) are within the lowest fee bracket. The fee is clearly quoted when you book — no surprises.
- What vehicle types do you detail?Joe details all vehicle types: sedans, hatchbacks, SUVs, wagons, 4WDs, utes, and vans. Pricing is based on vehicle size (Small / Medium / Large) rather than make or model. Large vehicles include 7-seat SUVs and lifted 4x4s.
- How do I book?Use the online booking form — select your service, vehicle size, preferred date and time, and Joe will confirm within 2 hours during business hours. Or call 0400 214 484 directly if you prefer to talk through options first.
- What payment methods do you accept?EFTPOS, bank transfer, and cash are all accepted on the day. Payment is made after the job is complete to your satisfaction.
- Do you offer a satisfaction guarantee?Yes — if you're not happy with the result, Joe will come back and fix it. That's the guarantee. It's how he works.
- How do I get a price for my car?Prices for Express, Premium and Pre-Sale Details are listed on the website by vehicle size — no quote needed, just book. For Paint Correction, Ceramic Coating, Headlight Restoration and Custom Packages, call 0400 214 484 or use the booking form to request a quote. Joe can usually give you a price over the phone based on your description.
